- Laboratory of Applied Optics – LOA
Description: The Laboratory of Applied Optics (LOA) is a laboratory of Scientific and Technological Research and Development (PDCT) and is an interdisciplinary space focused on the development of basic and applied research in optical communications networks, generation of optical sub-carriers in the C band, radio over fiber, metamaterials, integrated photonics, propagation of electromagnetic waves, numerical methods, nanomagnetism and field theory. quantum optics and tomography of quantum states.
Staff: 3 teachers (Hilma Vasconcelos, Kleber Zuza Nobrega e João Batista) e 4 students (1 graduate and 3 post-graduate ).

- Quantum Information Technology Laboratory – LATIQ
Description: LATIQ is a laboratory for Scientific and Technological Research and Development (STRD) and is an interdisciplinary space dedicated to the development of basic and applied research in quantum information theory and technology, quantum communications and computing, systems and protocols for data security in optical networks, microwave photonics and nanoelectronics.
Staff: 2 teachers (Rubens Viana e João Batista) and 8 post-graduate students.
